Description

Tom Christensen joined the faculty of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Department of Physics and Energy Science in 1989 where he is an award-winning teacher.  He received his B.S. in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of Minnesota and his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Cornell University. He was a Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Labs from 1985 - 1989.  His research in experimental surface physics has involved a wide range of techniques and applications. Tom joined the AVS in 1980 and currently serves on the national AVS Education and Diversity committees.
