FREEK MOLKENBOER is a Senior Systems Engineer and vacuum specialist in the Semiconductor and Quantum division of TNO. He has worked at the forefront of vacuum technology, an important but perhaps under-recognized enabling technology in the modern world. At TNO, a not-for-profit applied research organization in the Netherlands with over 4,000 employees, we rely heavily on ultra-clean vacuum for our research in semiconductor and quantum technologies. In addition to his full-time role at TNO, he is also actively involved in various positions within the vacuum community.
Freek currently serves as the president-elect for the Dutch Vacuum Society (NEVAC), alternate councilor for IUVSTA on behalf of the Dutch Vacuum Society, and a member of the knowledge committee of the Dutch Contamination Control Union (VCCN).
