The technical structure of AVS is organized as a matrix. Members can participate in one or more Divisions or Technical Groups, each of which is focused around a major topical area. Members may also participate in Chapters and Student Chapters, which are regional organizations that focus on local area needs.

Invited Talks: 30 minutes (25 minutes of presentation+5 minutes for discussion) Contributed Talks: 15 minutes (12 minutes of presentation+3 minutes for discussion)

Audio/Visual Equipment
We recommend the use of PowerPoint slides for presentation on a LCD video projector.

The conference room will be equipped with a laptop, an LCD video projector and a microphone. You may also bring your own laptop.

Uploading of the presentation files will be done before the sessions start and during the coffee and lunch breaks. Please make sure that you contact your Session Chair to upload your presentation. We recommend that speakers be at their session at least 10 minutes before it begins.

Poster Display and Sessions
The poster session with reception will be held in conjunction with the equipment exhibit on Thursday, May 5th from 5:45­7.45 p.m. A student poster competition for graduate and undergraduate students will be included in the poster session.

Poster Set Up: Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
Poster Tear Down: Friday, May 6, 2022: 5:30 pm
(Please note that any remaining posters will be discarded)

Times reserved for Student Poster Judging: Thursday, May 5, 2022: 6:00 p.m.­7:45 p.m.
Authors should be present near their poster board during these times for questions and discussion.

Poster award recipients are required to attend the Award Ceremony on Friday, May 6, 2022  (6:16 pm ­ 6:45 pm.) in order to receive their prizes. Students that cannot attend due to exceptional circumstances need to inform the Program Committee immediately.

Poster Size and Format
Poster presenters will be provided with a blank board and push pins at the conference site. Two posters will be mounted on each board. The poster boards will be approximately 8’ high by 4’ wide and will be labeled with the poster number and arranged in the order that the posters are listed in the program.

Student Awards
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the graduate competition.
First place winner of the undergraduate competition will also receive an award. Honorary mentions will also be given to students from both competitions.
