DESCRIPTION:\nWINDS is an international, interactive workshop intended to provide a forum for discussion of new ideas in the broad area of nanoscience, and opportunities for interaction and networking among scientists. The conference is designed to explore the fundamental properties of nanoscale heterostructures and potential device applications, and covers a spectrum of nanoscale science, emerging materials and device technologies.\n\nThe format consists of morning and evening sessions with a blend of contributed, invited and poster presentations, with significant time available each afternoon for extended discussions. WINDS is scheduled each year for the week immediately following the US Thanksgiving holiday, to be held in Hawaii as a central location best serving the majority of attendees of historical record drawn from Pacific Rim countries.
